We’re delighted to share that, on 9800 kilohertz, we have a variety of antennas at our disposal to enhance your listening experience. These antennas are designed for short, medium, and long-range reception. From NVIS models to vertical radiation systems, we’ve got you covered for all your listening needs. The latter is particularly effective for long-distance reception, and we’ve been thrilled with the results!
Last weekend, we received wonderful reports from our listeners – the reception has been outstanding across Europe. We’ve gathered an impressive eleven new radio stories as a result! You can listen to these captivating tales today, and they’ll also be available for playback on our website later.
In the future, keep an ear out for our program “Pure Dutch,” which will be returning soon. We’re currently fine-tuning the details to bring you even more of the great content you love.
This weekend, we’re shining the spotlight on the beloved band The Cats. Every hour, you’ll hear a story about this legendary group from Volendam, showcasing the unique “palingsound” that this fishing village is known for. This is a wonderful opportunity to dive into the rich musical heritage of our country.
As a special treat for our listeners tuning in on 9800 kilohertz, we have created an exclusive eQSL card filled with personal insights. If you send us a reception report, you’ll receive this special QSL card as a token of our appreciation!
Reflecting on the past week, one remarkable event in the radio world was the celebration of World Radio Day, reminding us of the power of radio in bridging communities. It’s moments like these that reaffirm our commitment to bringing diverse voices to the airwaves.
Now, let’s take a moment to discuss the weather in the Netherlands today. In the morning, expect dry conditions with sunny periods, and temperatures rising above freezing. It’s a perfect day to step outside, but don’t forget your scarf and hat! This evening, a weather front moving in from the North Sea may bring some regional snowfall. Winds will be light, coming from the east.
Thank you for tuning in to Radio Delta on 9800 kilohertz, your go-to shortwave station broadcasting live from the Netherlands to the entire world. Enjoy the sounds and stories we have for you this weekend!

Hi, that sounds promising and I’m sure it’ll be another wonderful weekend on my Radio Oldies with Radio Delta. Best regards, Dieter
Hello, today the 31 m band opens here in North Germany later. Reception grows up to S9 + 40 dB with less fading but clear sound. SINPO 55444. The 9800 kHz with new antennas are really great working. Sounds often lie a local station. Thanks for the wonderful section “The record and its story.” Many thanks to Elburg and a big “Hello” to all listeners who choose the right station on shortwave: Radio Delta International.
73, Dieter

Hello Mattia,
You are welcome on the 9800 kHz.
Hallo Radio Delta,
Weiter so!
Rolf L.
Hello,
on sunday the 9800 works very well since 900 UTC in Germany. The peak is S9 + 30 dB on my JRC NRD 535 DG with MLA-30 +. Only with 3 m cable the reception on my tube radio Nordmende Tannhäuser is very good. The sound is on high quality. Great performance from Elburg to the world. Best regards, Dieter
