As we remember the legendary lead vocalist Dolores O’Riordan, who left us too soon, we delve into the rich history of this beloved Irish rock group. Formed in Limerick, Ireland, in 1990, The Cranberries burst onto the music scene with their distinctive blend of alternative rock and Celtic influences. They captivated audiences in the 90s with hits like “Zombie,” “Linger,” and “Dreams,” delivering powerful lyrics that often addressed social and personal themes. Their music resonated deeply with fans across the globe, particularly among our dedicated Radio Delta listeners. It’s no surprise that we frequently feature their songs in our “Five Decades of Music” program.
