This week is bittersweet as we reflect on the loss of our cherished team member, Yara, who passed away at the age of 10. Our loyal German Shepherd was more than just a pet, she was an integral part of the Radio Delta family. Always present in the studio, Yara brought warmth and joy to us all, and her spirited presence will be missed dearly. We honor her memory and hold her close in our hearts. Rest in peace, Yara.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to announce that from December 24, listeners can enjoy daily broadcasts from Radio Delta, and with a bit of luck, we’ll continue our programs until December 29. Our upcoming Christmas special is set to be a highlight, showcasing the values of community, joy, and togetherness that define this festive season. Details on the unique programming will be available on our website, where we promise these will be days to remember just as you’ve come to expect from our exceptional shortwave station!

In addition to our programs, we’re thrilled to unveil our brand-new jingle package! These fresh jingles highlight two essential symbols of Dutch culture: the Dutch Lion and the Orange Army.  The Dutch Lion, a representation of strength and courage, has long been a national symbol of the Netherlands. Its majestic image adorns coats of arms and flags, embodying the spirit of resilience and pride in the Dutch identity. The Orange Army, on the other hand, refers to the passionate supporters of the Dutch national sports teams, particularly during international tournaments. Known for their vibrant orange attire and unwavering support, these fans create a sea of color and enthusiasm, celebrating their nation’s athletes on the world stage.

Together, these jingles not only celebrate our culture but also enhance the distinctive sound of Radio Delta, making our broadcasts even more memorable!

As we approach the festive season, we wish all of our listeners joyous Christmas celebrations and a prosperous New Year! We also thank you for your support as we navigate the loss of Yara; she will forever be missed in our hearts. We wish everyone a delightful listening experience and hope you will join us in cherishing the memories of our beloved Yara. Thank you for being part of the Radio Delta family, we’re excited to bring you more unforgettable moments in the coming days!

You can see Yara in our video’s, listening to Weekend Music Radio and Radio Classic Sunday.

  1. Sorry for the loss of Yara, as a dog owner myself I know how loved & important they become in our lives.
    Regards, Josh

  2. What a bad message. Our thoughts are with Yara. Dear Aart, remember Yara fondly, because she will always have a view of you from above. With deep sympathy, Dieter

Lieber Aart! Deine Yara bleibt Dir unvergessen!!!
