Listening equipment

Receivers and antennas

These charts show the equipment categories reported by unique listener locations.

Receiver brand share

Receiver names are grouped by brand or practical category.

Percentages are based on unique listener locations. Multiple reports from the same listener do not automatically increase the share.

Antenna type share

Antenna descriptions are grouped into practical antenna categories.

Detailed antenna descriptions remain part of the original reception reports and may be more specific than the categories shown here.

Reception patterns

Reception and propagation patterns

These charts describe patterns found in confirmed Radio Delta AM reception reports. They reflect actual broadcast history and listener reporting, not a controlled propagation experiment.

Reported band use by month

How the reported bands changed through the year

Each row shows the mix of confirmed reports per band in that month.

A wider segment means that more reports for that month came from that band. It does not mean all bands were transmitted equally often.

Band versus reported distance

How far each band was reported

Average distance provides a simple comparison of actual Radio Delta AM reception reports by band.

Loading band distance analysis…
Average distance reflects Radio Delta AM’s actual broadcast history. Bands were not used equally often, at identical times or under identical propagation conditions.

Interpretation and methodology

What this dashboard does — and does not — show

This dashboard analyses confirmed Radio Delta AM reception reports. It describes what listeners reported during actual broadcasts. It is not a controlled laboratory comparison, a live propagation forecast or proof that one receiver, antenna or band is always better than another.

Results are influenced by the Radio Delta broadcast schedule, frequency use, season, time of day, propagation, listener location, local noise, receiver quality, antenna systems and reporting behaviour.

Receiver and antenna details have been used as structured technical reception data since 20 June 2025. The dashboard will become more useful as the number and diversity of confirmed reports grows.

Add your reception to the dataset. Send a report with SINPO, receiver, antenna, location, frequency and UTC time.
